Returns Policy

Types of Returns accepted 
We accept 2 types of returns; Warranty Against Defects claims and Change-of-Mind returns. Leather Hero accepts both types of returns in certain circumstances and in accordance with the Australian Consumer Law. 

Change Of Mind

In the event that you Change-Your-Mind about a purchase
As goodwill, if you change your mind or make an incorrect purchase, we accept returns: 

  • requested within 14 days of the date of purchase
  • that are unopened, unused and in perfect resalable condition
  • received by us within 14 days of the Return Authorisation email being sent
  • less a processing fee of $10 per return 
  • except for special orders and custom colours

How to arrange a Change-Of-Mind Return
Email us at info@leatherhero.com.au within 14 days of purchase and supply your:

  • original order number
  • name and address
  • confirmation that the products are unopened, unused and in resalable condition
  • reason for requesting a return. You must also indicate either:
  • your preferred exchange product (to equal or greater value) and shipping service 
  • that you would prefer a refund less 10% processing fee

Within 2 business days, we will review your request and if compliant, send you a Return Authorisation email. We must receive the product within 14 days of the Return Authorisation being sent to you.

Responsibility for goods in transit

Your Change-of-Mind return will be made at your cost and at your risk. You must package it securely and check that all products are included. 

  • We will not be responsible for returns that are: 
  • lost, stolen or damaged in transit
  • incomplete (missing products) 

Your returns process 
Within 14 days of the Return Authorisation being sent to you, in a return box or parcel, send:

  • the returning product (including all components)
  • a copy of your Return Authorisation and Order Confirmation emails
  • your products to:

Processing your return
When received, within 2 business days, we will assess the condition of the products and if accepted, process your return as an exchange (to equal or greater value) or refund per your preference.

If your return is not accepted, we will advise why. Eg:

  • product has been opened, used, damaged or is missing
  • return arrived more than 14 days after Return Authorisation was sent
  • no return approval was requested or given 

Your declined return will be returned to you upon receipt of payment from you for return postage providing it is received within 90 days of us sending the Return Authorisation email. 

Warranty Against Defects

You will be entitled to replacement product if the product you receive from us has a defect of manufacturing (as per the ACL consumer guarantees).

Your warranty claim process

Contact us via info@leatherhero.com.au within 14 days of the defect becoming apparent and supply your:

  • reason for claiming a replacement product
  • original order number
  • name and address

Within 2 business days, we will review your claim and send you a Return Authorisation email. We must receive the defective product within 14 days of the Return Authorisation being sent

Sending your product(s) back to us

Within 14 days of the Return Authorisation being sent to you, in a return box or parcel, send:

  • the defective product (including all components)
